Today we travel to Wincanton to run Prince Nino in the Handicap Hurdle at 4.25pm.
Prince wasn’t good enough in novice company at the start of my season but he ran nicely last time at Taunton, and but for a mistake at the last I think would have been placed which we would have been really pleased with.
He’s had a little bit of a break since then as he was quite busy before that and I think he comes into this race in really good condition. Any rain will probably help our chances just to ease the ground slightly and I think if he puts his best foot forwards then he has a really good each way chance. He’s a horse who seems to be improving all of the time at the moment with the experience of racing as he’s been quite mentally slow, but he’s really coming to hand now. Two and a half miles should suit, he’s had a run at the track before and I think he has a really good each way chance in this contest.
