Today we head to Wincanton with two runners, Far Sight and Diplomatie.
First up is Far Sight in the Handicap Hurdle at 3.28pm who I’m really surprised to see as favourite. He’s not won over hurdles yet. He ran well last time out with no obvious excuses. I don’t think that he’s particularly well handicapped but he does has age on his side. He seems in very good form at home, the trip and ground will suit and I think he can run well but he does need to step up on what he’s achieved so far to be winning.
Next up is Diplomatie in the second division of the Handicap Hurdle at 4.03pm. As I said before Southwell I’ve not had her all that long but she ran a nice race at Southwell. The quicker the ground the better for her. Up in distance is a step into the unknown but Vic Malzard who rides her thinks she’ll cope with it well and hopefully she can run a nice race for Vic and her family.
