Today we head to Wincanton with two runners, Brentford Hope and Sergeant Fury.
First up is Brentford Hope in the Elite Hurdle at 2.55pm.
The first thing to say is that if they haven’t watered enough and the ground isn’t genuinely good ground then he will not run. I am looking forward to getting him back out there this year. Obviously he had good form in handicaps last season, he’s stepping into graded race today so he’ll have to improve so far on what he’s done so far in his career. He would be much more effective on a slower surface but if the ground is safe then hopefully he can run a nice race.
Secondly is Sergeant Fury in the bumper at 4.05pm.
I think he’ll appreciate a nice sound surface. He’s trained nicely, settles well and seems like a sensible horse who will give himself the best chance and hopefully he can run a nice solid race.
