Today we travel to Uttoxeter with two runners, Dargiannini in the 2.32pm and Hard Frost in the 4.17pm.
Dargiannini is back over hurdles today after taking a tumble on his debut for me last time at Doncaster over fences. It will be crucial today to get his confidence back but if Paul can get him into a rhythm early then I’m hopeful he can run well.
The ground looks to be drying out all the time and the more it does the more it will help our chance. He has a light weight and I’m hopeful of a good show.
Hard Frost runs in the 4.17pm and I am hopeful of a good run on handicap debut in a competitive race. He has not been good enough in his novice hurdles but starts life on a realistic handicap mark that should make him competitive. We have reached for cheekpieces as whilst I believe he is genuine I think that he can be a little timid so they will hopefully help Paul during the race. If he puts his best foot forward he has a nice chance.
