Taunton, Thursday 27th April

Today we head to Taunton with Hard Frost in the Handicap Chase at 8.10pm. He’s been running really well since he switched to fences, albeit a little frustrating finishing second beaten a nose on two occasions. He did everything right at Wincanton last time, jumped fantastically and looked like he was going to win, then just pecked on landing at the last fence which cost him the race we thought. He’s up another couple of pounds which doesn’t help but he seems in good form, the only concern would be he’s quite light framed horse and he’s had quite a lot of racing in a short space of time so I’m just hoping he continues in his current run of form for this race. He seems very well at home, he’s training very nicely and I think the trip and track will suit and in what looks like a race he can do well in I’m hoping for a a little bit more luck to try and get his head in front.
