Today we head to Sandown Park with four runners.
First up is Monviel in the Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle at 12.30pm. He looks to be in the grip of the handicapper but he’s a very likeable and consistent horse. This is Alice Stevens’ first ride on him but she’s been getting on well with him at home. Hopefully he can run a nice solid race but I think he will improve for the run.
Our next runner in the Maiden Hurdle at 1.40pm, is Noahsgreatrainbow who I’ve always thought the world of. He’s schooled nicely and I’ve been really pleased with him. He’s just ready to start no more, he’s not by any means wound up for this race. It looks a really good contest but I’m confident he can run a really nice race and win lose or draw he’s very much a horse to follow who I think the world of.
Next up is Lario in the Handicap Hurdle at 2.50pm. He was quite busy in the spring, I gave him quite a few runs just because I felt like he needed the experience. I’ve been pleased with him at home. He’s a big grotesque horse so he will improve for the run but I’d like to think he can be very competitive in this field providing he settles and jumps nicely.
Our final runner of the day is Kiwi Rush in the Bumper at 4.00pm. He’s an absolutely beautiful horse. Much like Noahsgreatrainbow last year I like him very much, I think he’s got a big future. This looks a good bumper but if he runs in the three and shows plenty of encouragement then I’ll be absolutely thrilled.
