Musselburgh and Warwick, Wednesday 8th Nov

A busy day today with a runner at Warwick and Musselburgh.

First up is Nordic Tiger who runs in the two mile Novice Hurdle at Warwick at 1.15pm. I’m delighted to be using Daryl Jacob for the first time in my training career. Daryl has been a great friend for a long time so it’s good to have him in the saddle.

Nordic ran a lovely race last month at Uttoxeter and has trained well for this race since. I think slower ground than he encountered last time out is a positive and I can see him running well in this contest. Paul gave him a lovely introduction to racing last time out so I believe he can build on that effort today.

Fidelio Vallis finished second at Musselburgh in February and I’m hopeful a repeat of that effort here can see him go one better. He runs in the Handicap Chase at 3.25pm. Fidelio is the most wonderfully honest horse who gives his all every time he runs which is hugely admirable.

He is not obviously well handicapped but I have no doubt he is well ready to run a big race today. The drier the ground for him the better.
