Ludlow, Thursday 21st March

Today we head to Ludlow, to run Court In The Act in the 2.35pm Novices’ Hurdle. He’s done extremely well so far this season, I’ve been very pleased with his progress. He won very nicely last time out at Kempton on Boxing Day. I’ve given him a break since then because he’s still a big raw horse and he’s only five. The main objective today is to qualify for the Sandown Novice Championship Final on the last day of the season. The ground is a question mark but the time frame between now and that race will suit pretty well so we’re going to let him take his chance. If the ground was good I’d be pretty confident but the softer ground makes his life a bit more difficult. The Fergal O’Brien horse will be tough to beat but I’m optimistic we can run a nice race.
