Kempton, Saturday 24th February

Today we head to Kempton Park with two runners.

First up is Joker De Mai in the Handicap Hurdle at 1.15pm who is a lovely young horse and has been running well this season. I have had this race in mind for him for quite a while now and he is in really good shape for it. He should cope with ground conditions without any problem and I believe that we are yet to see the best of him. I think that he can run a big race for his owner rider David Maxwell, in what looks a competitive contest.

My second runner on the day is Givemefive who is my first runner in Grade 2 company in The Adonis Hurdle at 1.50pm. Five has done well so far this season and was impressive last time out at Warwick when hurdling quickly. This is a serious step up in class and looks a good field but I think he has a huge chance. He has trained very well for this race, will cope fine with underfoot conditions and is a very genuine horse who will give his running.
