Kempton Park, Sunday 20th October

Today we head to Kempton Park with two runners, Cracker Star and Far Sight.

First up is Cracker Star in the Juvenile Hurdle at 1.40pm. He, like all of my novice hurdlers I’ve run so far this season is just ready to start. He will improve a lot fitness wise for this run but I’ve been absolutely thrilled with his schooling at home. He’s taken to jumping really nicely; got a lovely attitude towards it and seems to really enjoy it which as a juvenile hurdler is very important. I think that he will appreciate  a sound surface and I’m just looking to see him run a nice race here. He’s fit enough to do himself justice but as I say will improve plenty for it.

In the last race at 5.10pm we run Far Sight who won really nicely at Wincanton on Thursday. It’s extremely unlike me to run a horse again so quickly but I would imagine that we’re going to get a fair rise in the weights, so we’re going to let him take his chance. He’s eaten and drunk really well since Wincanton and all of my team that work with him are happy  so we’re going to go again and hopefully he can run a really nice race.
