Hereford and Kempton, Wednesday 14th February

Today we head to Hereford and Kempton.

At Hereford we run Fourofakind in the Handicap Hurdle at 5.07pm. He ran a much better race at Wincanton last time out, I was pleased with him, although Paul felt that a step up in trip is now necessary as he’s probably just lost a gear. He stayed well to the line that day so two and a half miles will suit here. I think Thank You Ma’am is probably the one to beat but if the step up in trip helps us then he’ll be very competitive.

At Kempton we run Tidal Storm in the 1m 4f Handicap at 7.30pm and he represents my first ever flat runner which is exciting. He has struggled over jumps this season so we’re trying him back on the flat. Kieran Shoemark a friend of mine takes the ride. He obviously knows a lot more about flat racing than I do so I won’t be giving him too many instructions, but he had some decent flat form and has won around Kempton before so hopefully he can go and run well.
