Helenn Clermont

Today we travel to Ffos Las to run a mare I’m really looking forward to in the shape of Helenn Clermont.

Helenn was placed third in her second and final run in the Irish point to pointing field for Eamon Doyle and has since had plenty of down time to grow into her frame.

She is a fine looking mare who has always been the apple of my Bloodstock agent Ed Baileys eye.

I think that Helenn will end up wanting further than two miles as she develops but on very slow ground here I am not concerned about the distance.

She has had a long time off the course and like all of my runners at the moment I am getting to know them, however I think she comes into this race on really good form with a good level of fitness under her belt.

I purposely have left her with a bit to work on going into this race and hope she will improve but believe she will run well all the same.

She is a mare I really like and I am excited to get her on the track. Paul is once again in the saddle.
