Today we head to Exeter with two runners, Sir Psycho and Tidal Storm.
First up is Sir Psycho in the Handicap Chase at 1.50pm, who gave me one of the best days of my training career so far when wining at Ascot last time out. He took a little while to get over that race but I’m confident he’s now back on his best form. Obviously the most important thing with him is to get him jumping again, and if Paul can manage that then I’m confident he’ll take a lot of beating in this race at a course that he’s performed well at before.
Next up in the Handicap Hurdle at 2.20pm is Tidal Storm who was bitterly disappointing at Wincanton last time out when he just didn’t travel at all. I have reached for cheekpieces in this race in an effort to try and concentrate his mind earlier on in the race. The extra two furlongs should help on a more galloping track, and I am hopeful that he will leave that last run well behind him, he will however need to to figure in this.
