Exeter, Thursday 21st December

Today we head to Exeter with two runners.

First up is Push To Pass in the Junior Hurdle at 12.55, who actually run with some promise first time out at Kempton until he got tired late on. I’d hope he’s a good bit fitter for that and this track will suit him better. He looks to have a tough task to beat Harry Fry’s horse but hopefully he’ll run a nice race and jump really well like last time.

Joker De Mai is next in the 2.25pm Handicap Hurdle, who won very impressively at Lingfield Park last week. He is due to go up ten pound for that, hence we are running him under a penalty. That is without question is my main concern as I have never run a horse quickly under a penalty so far in my career. All the signs at home are that he is well after his run, he’s been eating great and looks in good condition so I’m hopeful he can reproduce his form shown last time out.
