Doncaster, Friday 15th December

Today we head to Doncaster with three runners, Urban Solider, Il Va De Soi and Scrum Diddly.
First up in the Novices’ Handicap Hurdle at 12.30pm is Urban Solider who was very kindly sent to me by Middleham Park and I wish them all the best; its very exciting to have a runner in their colours. Urban Solider was slightly disappointing when in Ditcheat and I know Paul suggested that he came to me as he thought that my gallop would suit him better. He seems in great form at home, we’ve gone three miles with him because we think he’s a galloper and we hope that over three miles he’ll be able to travel well. He’s very fit and I’ve got no excuses for him.
Next up is Il Va De Soi in the Novices’ Handicap Hurdle at 1.40pm, who I’m running quite quickly after a good run at Newbury last time out but the ground today will suit him. He’s jumped great in his two Novice Hurdles and I’m looking forward to running him. A Novice Handicap should suit well and as long as he’s got over his last run I think he’s got a really good chance in this.
Our final runner is Scrum Diddly in the Novices’ Handicap Chase at 2.15pm who ran a great race in defeat at Ascot last time out. Again the ground is a huge positive for him. It looks a competitive race but if he jumps like he did last time then he’s sure to give a good account of himself.
