DARGIANNINI

12:45 Doncaster

Today we travel to Doncaster to run Dargiannini in a very competitive two mile novice handicap chase, which looks a race that has a host of chances.

I have been very pleased with Dargiannini since he arrived with me at Frenchman’s House and he looks very well heading into this race today.

I have decided to send him chasing as he never gave hurdles that much respect, so I am hoping jumping fences will give him something a little bigger to focus on.

Paul has done two really good schooling sessions with him over fences and I have been pleased with his jumping, however until they do it on the track you can never really be sure how they will take to it.

Any rain Doncaster has would be a negative but I think looking at the forecast this will be the driest ground he can run on for a bit of time to come.

Dargiannini is fit and ready for this race and I am looking forward to running him.

Hopefully he will hold his own and be competitive, but more than anything today I want him to have a clear round of jumping and give us something to build on for the spring.
