Chepstow, Fri 13th Oct

Today we head to Chepstow to run Jersey Gem in the 3.58pm Mares’ Novices Hurdle. She is a new horse to me from Oliver’s last season. She ran with promise in her final bumper start at Southwell. She’s a mare I like, she looks to me like she’s going to be a staying mare. Obviously the disadvantage is that she’s only four and a lot of these are a year older and probably a bit more mature and stronger. Her schooling however has been good and I’m looking forward to running her. Paul and I will know a lot more about her after her first run. I wish Mr and Mrs Taylor the very best of luck for their first runner with me.
