Today we have our first runner at Cartmel, with Grivetana in the Female Jockey’s Handicap Hurdle at 4pm.
She’s run really nicely for us twice. I thought her last run at Newton Abbot where she finished runner up was an improved run on her debut for us. She’ll have to step up again to figure in this race but Alice takes off a handy 5lb. It’s great to get Alice in the saddle after a quiet summer for her.
The more the ground dries the more of a positive that would be for her. Cartmel is obviously quite a unique track but if she acts around there then I see no reason why she can’t run a really nice race.
