Ascot, Saturday 4th November

Today we head to Ascot to run Sir Psycho in the 1.30pm and Il Va De Soi in the 2.40pm,  both ridden by Paul.

First of all I am delighted to be training for Sir Martin Broughton and friends, his colours mean a lot to me so it is wonderful to have a runner in my name in them.

Sir Psycho joined me from Paul Nicholls late in the spring and has been in good form training for this race. His first chasing effort did not go well at Bangor last season, however his owners are keen to have another go.

Paul knows him really well now and has done an awful lot of jumping on him and his schooling has been good. He obviously lost his way last season but he is once again reasonably handicapped and if he jumps he could run a nice race.

Il Va De Soi is a horse I have always been fond of and I was biding my time with him last season where he ran really well in two bumpers. Jumping was always going to be his game and I’m looking for a nice run here.
