Aintree, Friday 14th April

Today we travel to Aintree to run Dargiannini in the Handicap Hurdle at 2.20pm. I’m really excited to have my first runner at the Aintree Grand National Festival.

Since Dargiannini won at Newbury 41 days ago this has been the plan. He’s trained really well for it and I’m really excited to run him. It’s obviously the most competitive race he’s run in by some way and he’s up to a mark for 138 now which won’t make life easy but I’m really confident he’s going to run a big race. Whether he’s good enough to win or not I’m not sure but he’s in great form, he’s very fit and well and he’s fresh off a nice bit of time since his last run and I’m hoping that he can give his owners Andy and Julie Mitchell a great day out.
